Provost, Director Description of services and information about our program: Our program will provide services for parents/guardians who are working, attending school or are in job training. Our main priorities are: children with special needs, children in protective custody, teen parents and single parents. Eligibility is based on a sliding fee scale and your monthly gross income. This will determine the percentage you are eligible to receive. Applications are accepted twice a year in October and April. The deadline for new and renewal applications is the last Monday of September and the last Monday of May. Application are located at: Indian Health Services, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Housing Authority, Food Distribution, Casino, Travel Plaza, Canku Teca, Women's Resource Center, Ihanktowan College, Marty Indian School Administration & High School, and the Tribal Office. Application requirements are: verification of income, copies of social security cards, and class schedules. Also send documentation if you have a child with special needs and a copy of the child protection order. Families from any federally recognized tribe are eligible to apply. Services are provided for six (6) months, you may reapply if the funds are available. We will service families who live on or near the Yankton Sioux reservation boundaries. (This includes a twenty five (25) mile radius from the boundaries.)
